I hardly ever use the included midi loops and bits, I use a Roland 8-pad thing to record my drum parts. It sounds finished but you can still edit the mix of the drums if you want. I may have done this on one of my recent clips and it worked out quite nicely, as I couldn't find the beat I wanted in my library and programming it did not seem like something I wanted to spend time doingĪs far as EZ specific the examples on their site sound really good to me. If the roll is too complicated, go in and take out every other note or whatever. Obviously be careful with downloading random files off the net. One thing you could also do (instead of looking in EZD land) is if you have a song in mind with the beat you are looking for search for a midi file and extract the drum track out of it and import it into your project. They are editable as well as drag and drop-able. I went to look at some expansion packs today and I thought they were $90?
